Assistant Manager, International Admissions

About the role

The Student and Academic Services Department (SASD) supports students from admission through to graduation, working with schools, colleges and autonomous institutes. This Assistant Manager position sits within the Office of Admissions and brings in international students, managing the day-to-day operations of the international admissions team. The role acts as a bridge between partner institutions, government agencies, applicants, colleges and administrative staff.

Key responsibilities

• Admissions application and selection: understand education systems in new markets and propose selection criteria based on market practice, intake targets and applicant quality; work with supervisors and schools on offers, acceptances and appeals; update and follow admissions policies and SOPs; handle enquiries from prospective students, parents, schools and agents; contribute to continuous improvement projects.
• Partnership management: engage principals and further education counselors of high school partners, build relationships with international high schools and education partners, gather market intelligence and carry out market-specific outreach and recruitment.
• Marketing and event management: run outreach for visiting partners, host local and foreign visitors and admission talks, and ensure marketing materials are accurate and up to date.

Required profile

• Degree from any discipline; entry-level candidates are welcome.
• Prior experience in admissions, student recruitment or general administration; experience planning and running outreach programmes is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills and comfort with public speaking (about 5 to 6 events per year, audiences of 30 to 200).
• Proactive, able to manage multiple priorities, with occasional travel required.

Required skills

• Ability to analyse data to interpret market information and support recruitment decisions.
• Knowledge of Denodo and/or SQL and BI analytics is an added advantage.
