Assistant Manager, Legal Services (Paralegal)

About the role

Marriott International is seeking an Assistant Manager, Legal Services (Paralegal) to support its Law Department on employment and corporate matters across the Asia‑Pacific region (excluding China). Based in Singapore, the role reports to the Vice President & Senior Counsel and provides day‑to‑day legal assistance for Marriott‑branded hotels, franchises and residential projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and maintain employment‑related documents such as contracts, disciplinary letters and separation agreements.
• Conduct legal research on statutory labour and employment requirements across APEC jurisdictions.
• Assist in drafting and updating employment policies, guidance notes and precedent libraries.
• Respond to routine employment and labour law queries from internal stakeholders.
• Draft initial versions of management, franchise, residential and other hotel‑related agreements under attorney supervision.
• Coordinate due‑diligence activities with external counsel and manage the execution of transaction documents.
• Maintain a knowledge database of current agreements, standard forms and legal research.

Required profile

• 4+ years experience as a paralegal/legal manager handling commercial contracts, or 1+ year as an attorney in a transactional or corporate practice.
• Legal diploma or equivalent; a law degree is an advantage.
• Prior exposure to employment law is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail, diligence and a reliable work ethic.
