Assistant Manager / Manager – Projects (Contract Management)

About the role

We are looking for a self‑driven Assistant Manager / Manager to join our Projects team on a three‑year contract. The role will lead procurement, contract management and compliance activities for construction projects, working closely with internal project teams and external consultants to ensure timely and cost‑effective delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement, contracts and compliance functions for construction projects.
• Collaborate with the Projects/BET team, business units and external consultants throughout pre‑ and post‑award phases.
• Develop procurement strategies, shortlist vendors, manage RFQ/RFP processes and conduct tender evaluations.
• Prepare internal approval documents and support management decision‑making.
• Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for construction management, defining process and compliance metrics.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and policy adherence.
• Negotiate, draft, review and provide guidance on contract execution to ensure consistency, accuracy and timeliness.
• Achieve yearly KPIs related to internal controls, project timelines and cost effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying and contract management, preferably within construction or engineering environments.
• Experience with design‑and‑build and traditional build contracts.
• Background in consultancy or developer settings is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with SAP S4HANA for tender and project management (advantageous).
