Assistant Manager, Research Office (2 Years Contract)

About the role

NUHS is hiring an Assistant Manager for its Research Office on a two-year contract. Reporting to the Head of the Biostatistics Unit, the role provides statistical consultation to researchers on all statistical matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide statistical consultation on clinical research design, sample size calculation and statistical analysis methodology.
• Perform statistical analyses and interpret results for researchers.
• Collaborate with researchers as co-PI or collaborator on funded research projects.
• Draft the statistical sections of clinical research protocols, research proposals and manuscripts for publication.

Required profile

• Class Honours degree, BSc or MSc in Statistics or a related qualification, with 1 to 3 years of experience.
• Relevant experience is preferred.
• Strong expertise in designing and analysing clinical research studies, including clinical trials and epidemiological research.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently under tight timelines.
• Good analytical and organisation skills, and excellent communication, problem-solving, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SPSS, STATA and R.
