About the role

The Assistant Manager, Visual Merchandising - Travel Retail SEAOC drives best-in-class Visual Merchandising execution across the Southeast Asia and Oceania travel retail region. Working closely with the Commercial, Marketing and Regional Store Design & VM teams, as well as external partners, the role translates Guerlain's global brand vision into commercially relevant executions in airports and travel retail environments. It covers product launches, permanent counters, animations and pop-ups, new store openings and renovations, visual updates, soft merchandising and VM-related operational coordination.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent, high-quality execution of Guerlain's VM standards across all travel retail doors, adapting regional guidelines and implementing planograms, display guidelines, artwork and Axis rules.
  • Manage launch materials and soft POSM, including adaptation, production, allocation, display guidelines and planograms, and keep launch and VM photo reports.
  • Lead VM for animations, pop-ups, podiums, HPP and retailer activations, acting as the key VM contact with retailers, agencies and vendors and managing design, production, installation and rectification.
  • Support new store openings, renovations, relocations and counter upgrades, including opening requirements, on-site set-up and resolving inconsistencies between hard and soft merchandising.
  • Carry out regular market and store visits, coach Retail Managers and Beauty Consultants, review competitor activity and give actionable feedback.
  • Manage VM vendors, production timelines, quotations, procurement and logistics, and coordinate with Commercial, Marketing and the Regional Store Design & VM team.

Required profile

  • Experience managing VM projects from concept adaptation through production and on-site execution.
  • Experience across multiple countries and cultures and with external vendors strongly preferred; exposure to airport, travel retail or luxury retail is an advantage.

Required skills

  • Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Skill in SketchUp and/or InDesign preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint
