About the role

ALST is hiring an Assistant Microbiologist or Microbiologist in Singapore. The role sits within a global team that uses scientific testing and data-driven insights to build a healthier future. You will perform microbial testing and analysis and support lab operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform microbial testing and analysis using standard laboratory techniques.
• Assist with other microbiological and molecular analyses as needed.
• Ensure quality control procedures are followed and equipment is properly calibrated.
• Perform calculations, interpret results and prepare accurate reports.
• Support additional duties as assigned to maintain lab operations.

Required profile

• Science-related degree in Food, Microbiology or Biotechnology preferred; candidates without tertiary education may also apply.
• Prior lab experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Ability to multitask and work independently.
• Strong team spirit and a positive working attitude.
• Eligibility: citizen or permanent resident of the country of application, or hold or be able to obtain a valid working visa.
