About the role
The Department of Philosophy at Nanyang Technological University invites applications for a tenure‑track Assistant Professor position. The successful candidate will join a vibrant, research‑intensive community and may also serve as co‑director of the new Institute for AI Ethics. This role combines teaching, research, and interdisciplinary collaboration across NTU’s ecosystem.
Key responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Philosophy.
- Supervise postgraduate research projects and mentor graduate students.
- Engage in interdisciplinary research initiatives, including potential leadership of the Institute for AI Ethics.
Required profile
- PhD in Philosophy or a closely related field.
- Evidence of strong scholarly promise and a developing publication record.
- Demonstrated commitment to high‑quality teaching and student mentorship.
- Interest in collaborative, interdisciplinary, and internationally engaged research.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
