Assistant Relationship Manager

About the role

The Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) supports one or more Relationship Managers, Team Heads and Group Heads in daily operations, administration and client management. The ARM interacts with internal and external stakeholders, provides clients with relevant information and supports the Relationship Managers in implementing customised solutions. The role also channels client feedback to the bank so that processes can improve quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Client administration: support client interactions, systems, processes, files and documents; customise client requests such as reports, statistics and mailings; manage the RM's calendar, prepare meetings, organise business trips and handle post-processing of calls and meetings
• Business management: collect and exchange relevant information, plan and document work, support project implementation and propose improvements
• Risk and controls: help manage client documentation risks, ensure adherence to local regulations and internal policies, clear pending items and escalate issues when in doubt
• Regulatory: act as a representative under the MAS SFA and/or FAA, and demonstrate honesty, integrity, due care, fair dealing and conflict-of-interest management

Required skills

• Understanding of relevant Private Banking products and services
• Basic knowledge of global financial markets and industry trends
• Familiarity with the legal and regulatory environment of the covered geographic market
• Representative under MAS SFA and/or FAA
