Assistant Tax Manager (Regional)

About the role

The Assistant Tax Manager (Regional) will lead the tax compliance function for both local and overseas entities, acting as the primary liaison with tax authorities and external advisors. This role supports the finance team in delivering accurate tax reporting, provisions and strategic advice across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Manage tax compliance for local and overseas entities, coordinating preparation, review and filing of direct and indirect tax returns.
• Work with external agents to prepare and review transfer pricing documentation and Country‑by‑Country Reporting (CbCR) in line with OECD and local guidelines.
• Prepare and review current and deferred tax provisions for all business entities.
• Serve as the main point of contact for tax authorities during audits, investigations or objections and support statutory financial audits.
• Review contracts and agreements to provide strategic tax advice on ad‑hoc queries and special tax projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related discipline.
• Professional tax qualification (e.g., Accredited Tax Practitioner) is an advantage.
• 5–8 years of tax experience, including at least 3 years of transfer‑pricing experience, preferably in a multinational corporation.
• Strong knowledge of direct and indirect tax compliance, transfer pricing and regional tax regulations; exposure to US tax and group tax is highly preferred.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Oracle ERP.
• Proficiency in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
• Experience using Oracle Analytics (OA) or similar reporting tools.
• Familiarity with tax reporting under US GAAP.
