Assistant Vice President – Corporate Tax

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Vice President to lead corporate tax compliance and advisory functions for our branch. The role will support the preparation of tax returns, manage interactions with tax authorities and external advisers, and contribute to regional tax governance across APAC.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and coordinate the branch’s annual corporate income tax returns and related filings.
• Liaise with external tax advisers and auditors on tax provisions, disclosures and reporting requirements.
• Respond to queries from tax authorities and stay updated on legislative changes.
• Administer Financial Sector Incentive (FSI) awards, including annual review returns.
• Provide tax advisory support to business units on Singapore and cross‑border tax implications of new products and initiatives.
• Monitor international tax developments and support the implementation of tax governance frameworks across the APAC region.
• Assist with OECD BEPS Pillar Two implementation, data collection and compliance reporting.
• Support CRS and FATCA governance, compliance and reporting obligations.
• Contribute to tax technology, process improvement and automation projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
• Professional tax qualification (e.g., SCTP, ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA, CTA) is advantageous.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in financial institutions or banking.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore corporate tax and international tax concepts.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and risk‑control mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently while collaborating across functions.
