Associate - AVP, Financial Reporting

About the role

Fuku, one of China's largest and most respected securities firms offering brokerage, investment banking, asset management and wealth management, is hiring an Associate - AVP, Financial Reporting in Singapore. The role covers day-to-day finance operations, regulatory reporting and support of month-end and year-end closing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily finance operations and regulatory business-as-usual, including journal entries, bank and broker reconciliations, client money segregation and risk-based capital computation.
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
• Prepare and submit regulatory and tax filings, including MAS returns, GST returns and Corporate Income Tax returns.
• Liaise with the external auditor and tax consultants on audit and tax matters.
• Support other finance-related ad-hoc assignments as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with a professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in audit, financial reporting and/or regulatory reporting for a securities or capital markets firm.
• Good understanding of MAS regulatory requirements applicable to Capital Markets Services (CMS) licensees.
• Good understanding of financial products relating to bonds, securities and derivatives.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
