Associate / Engagement Manager, Finance, Risk & Restructuring

About the role

Oliver Wyman's Finance, Risk & Restructuring (FRR) practice advises financial institutions, corporates, private equity investors and regulators on complex challenges in finance, risk management, treasury, restructuring and business transformation. Associates and Engagement Managers are key members of the consulting teams, working closely with clients. The role is based in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Lead consulting teams on finance, risk and restructuring engagements, managing analyses, workstreams and project delivery.
• Turn analyses into clear recommendations and executive-level presentations.
• Manage projects through planning, stakeholder management and coaching of junior team members.
• Build client relationships by partnering with senior stakeholders and delivering impactful solutions.
• Deliver financial, operational and risk analyses, using modern tooling such as automation, advanced analytics and GenAI-assisted workflows where appropriate.
• Support client work in finance transformation, enterprise risk, treasury, regulatory change, operational resilience and business transformation, including data foundations, reporting, decisioning and model governance.

Required profile

• Preference for 4-6 years of experience (Associate) or 7-10 years (Engagement Manager), ideally in a top-tier consulting firm, financial services or industry, in finance, risk, treasury, restructuring or transformation.
• Experience leading teams and managing workstreams in fast-paced environments.
• Strong analytical and structured thinking, and excellent written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders.
• Undergraduate or advanced degree from a strong academic program.
• An investigative approach to data and complex challenges, and comfort with large datasets and analytical tools.
• Interest in AI/GenAI applications in finance and risk, such as analytics-driven decisioning, automation and model governance.
