Associate Engineer, Equipment Engineering (Lithography)

About the role

GlobalFoundries, a full-service semiconductor foundry, is looking for an Associate Engineer in Equipment Engineering (Lithography). The role supports the running of production in the module by keeping equipment ready and performing maintenance, on 12-hour shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and carry out corrective actions (CAS) according to specifications.
• Perform good maintenance of support tools and execute preventive maintenance (PM) as scheduled.
• Carry out 12-hour shift duties to support production and ensure equipment readiness.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and minimise downtime.
• Assist engineers in installing and hooking up new or upgraded equipment.
• Use SPACE to monitor SPC charts, understand PR rules and follow CAS correctly.
• Use measurement instruments effectively for data collection and maintain good housekeeping.
• Follow EHSS policies and safe custody of tools and equipment.
• Accurately record line issues and documentation, coordinate with specialists, and contribute to wafer scrap reduction.

Required profile

• Nitec, Higher Nitec or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Microelectronics Engineering.
• 1-2 years of experience in the electrical/electronics industry.
• Able to perform 12-hour rotating shifts and support overtime.
• Team player with good ownership, accountability, flexibility and self-motivation.
