Associate Engineer, Process Engineering (F7 Diffusion)

About the role

GlobalFoundries, a full-service semiconductor foundry, is hiring an Associate Engineer for its F7 diffusion process. The engineer develops and modifies process formulations, methods and controls to meet quality standards, working as an individual contributor or as a manager, and supports production in the module.

Key responsibilities

• Create, analyse and review technical charts, and develop and modify process formulations, methods and controls to meet quality standards.
• Establish SOPs and FMEAs for related processes, and review product development requirements for cost and schedule compatibility.
• Integrate equipment and material capabilities to meet process module and technology specifications, and drive continuous improvement plans.
• Monitor and sustain process and SPC to ensure products meet specification, review ESPC charts using SPACE and use statistical tools on qualified processes.
• Set up recipes and job files in metrology tools, perform regular housekeeping of production job files, and work 12-hour shifts to support production.
• Collect data on lots affected by tool faults and dispose them with minimal hold time, and pass on line issues and outstanding tasks accurately.
• Follow SOPs, carry out CAS as specified and execute SPSR accurately and on time, while maintaining good housekeeping and safety practices in the fab and office.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Mechatronics / Microelectronics / Chemical Process Engineering / Chemistry / Physics.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in the electrical / electronics industry.
• Good sense of ownership and accountability; team player who is flexible and able to support overtime.
