Associate Lecturer (Aerospace Engineering)

About the role

Republic Polytechnic's School of Engineering is recruiting an Associate Lecturer in Aerospace Engineering. The lecturer teaches and assesses students in Pre-employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) based on the CAAS SAR-66 syllabus, and helps develop the CAAS SAR-66 curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate learners' learning and grade and assess students in PET and CET courses based on the CAAS SAR-66 syllabus.
• Contribute to the development of the CAAS SAR-66 curriculum for PET and CET.

Required profile

• Qualification in Aerospace, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of work experience in aerospace MRO, with one of the following:
• Hold, or have held, a CAAS aircraft maintenance licence (B1 or B2 category).
• 5 years as a B1-category aircraft maintenance technician who has passed the CAAS SAR-66 basic examination in the relevant B1 or B2 category.
• A qualification in Aerospace, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering and having passed the CAAS SAR-66 basic examination in the relevant B1 or B2 category.

Required skills

• Proficiency in developing curriculum and delivering lessons on the CAAS SAR-66 syllabus in the relevant B1 or B2 category.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, genuine interest in sharing knowledge with young people, initiative and ability to work independently, and teamwork.
