Associate Lecturer (Continuing Education & Training) - School of Hospitality

About the role

The School of Hospitality at Republic Polytechnic is recruiting an Associate Lecturer for its Continuing Education and Training (CET) programmes. You will deliver planned curriculum to adult learners on scheduled weekdays, weeknights or occasionally on weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver planned curriculum to adult learners in CET programmes on weekdays, weeknights or occasional weekends.
• Facilitate student learning, grade assessments and carry out other academic duties such as invigilation.
• Deliver and update training materials, including manuals, guides and instructional videos.
• Maintain accurate training records and report regularly to management on training outcomes and areas for improvement.
• Perform curriculum development, lesson design, course delivery and module supervision in at least two of the following subjects: Mental and Workplace Wellness, Gen AI in Hospitality, Revenue Optimization and Management, Service Quality and Customer Experience, and Aesthetics, Wellness and Spa Operations and Management.

Required profile

• At least 8-10 years of relevant industry experience in hospitality, education, marketing, business development and/or consultancy.
• Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
• Strong industry links and exposure in related sectors.
• Experience developing a curriculum or delivering training in a client-facing environment.
• High-level written and verbal communication skills.
• An advantage: WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) and WSQ Diploma in Design and Development of Learning for Performance (DDDLP) accreditation.
• Candidates proficient in Mandarin are welcome, as some Aesthetics, Wellness and Spa programme runs are delivered in Mandarin.
