Associate Lecturer - Hotel & Leisure Management (Food & Beverage)

About the role

The School of Hospitality at Republic Polytechnic is seeking a dedicated, service-oriented Associate Lecturer to teach Food & Beverage (F&B) Operations. The role suits hospitality professionals with strong hands-on experience in restaurant, bar or banquet operations who want to develop the next generation of F&B talent through practical, industry-relevant training.

Required profile

• A relevant academic qualification in hospitality, hotel management or a related field; a diploma or degree is acceptable.
• At least 5 to 8 years of industry experience in Food & Beverage Operations (restaurant, banqueting, bar or café management) within hotels, resorts or hospitality venues.
• Strong interest in hospitality education and willingness to support student development in and out of the classroom.
• Prior experience conducting training or mentoring in a hospitality setting is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of front-of-house operations, service standards and F&B systems (POS, inventory, reservations).
• Ability to deliver lessons in modules such as F&B Service and other service-centric topics.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage learners practically and approachably.
• Willingness to help with curriculum enhancement, student assessments and hands-on practical training.
• Comfortable using digital tools in teaching or demonstration (videos, POS software simulations).
• Collaborative approach with academic teams and industry partners.
