Associate Process Engineer

About the role

GlobalFoundries is a full-service semiconductor foundry offering design, development and fabrication services. It is looking for an Associate Process Engineer who develops and modifies process formulations, methods and controls to meet quality standards, working either as an individual contributor or as a manager.

Key responsibilities

• Create, analyse and review technical charts
• Develop and modify process formulations, methods and controls to meet quality standards
• Establish SOPs (standard operating procedures) and FMEAs (failure mode and effects analyses) for related processes
• Review product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods to determine costs and schedules
• Integrate equipment and material capabilities to meet process module and technology specifications
• Drive continuous improvement plans to improve process performance indices
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver organisational goals
• Perform all activities safely and responsibly, supporting EHS and security requirements

Required profile

• Diploma, ITE or Hi-Nitec in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical fields
• At least 2 years of experience in an electronic production environment, preferably in a wafer fab, with basic equipment and process knowledge and attention to detail
• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
