Associate, TMT/IP (0-2 PQE)

About the role

Linklaters is looking for an Associate (0-2 PQE, E&W scale) to join its Asia TMT/IP team in Singapore. The practice supports clients across a range of sectors on technology, data and IP issues, with a focus on transactional work: digital infrastructure transactions, technology/data/IP-driven M&A support and advisory on data privacy, cybersecurity and IP strategy. The practice is regional, with team members in Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial documentation.
• Provide clear and commercial legal advice to clients.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, including supporting senior stakeholders in client development and expanding mandates.
• Collaborate at all levels, manage expectations and workflows with senior stakeholders, and supervise, mentor and guide junior team members including trainees.

Required profile

• Excellent academic credentials and 0 to 2 years PQE (E&W scale).
• Common law qualification preferred (e.g. England & Wales, Singapore, Australia).
• Prior transactional and commercial contracts training or experience is a must; digital infrastructure background is a bonus.
• Open to candidates with a different background or training, such as M&A, finance, infrastructure projects, commercial teams or litigation.
• Willingness to work regionally and with colleagues and clients across different time zones.
