Legal Consultant – Margin Lending & Equity Derivatives

About the role

Axiom Talent Platform is looking for Legal Consultants with Margin Lending and Equity Derivatives / Prime Brokerage experience to support its global investment banking client. The role can be performed remotely, onsite or hybrid depending on client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate documentation for equity-backed financings, including margin loans under APLMA or similar industry-standard loan agreements, and related security and ancillary documents.
• Draft, review and negotiate equity derivatives documentation, such as total return swaps, collar financings and related confirmations.
• Advise on legal and regulatory issues relevant to equity financing and equity derivatives transactions.

Required profile

• 4-8+ years of post-qualification experience with directly relevant experience in margin loans and/or equity derivatives, ideally in a leading international law firm or financial institution.
• Strong experience with industry-standard loan documentation (e.g. APLMA or similar).

Required skills

• Familiarity with equity derivatives products such as total return swaps and collar financings.
