Associate/Vice President, Trade Commodity Finance

About the role

ING Wholesale Banking in Singapore is looking for an Associate/Vice President to join its global Trade & Commodity franchise (TCF). You will help clients navigate an increasingly complex commodity landscape, using the group's deep sector expertise, global network and sustainable finance expertise to support their growth. The role is aimed at people with an entrepreneurial mindset who will originate and grow the TCF APAC portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Originate new clients and manage existing TCF clients in Asia Pacific
• Structure and execute transactions by working closely with clients, product, risk, legal, compliance and operations
• Work with the Transaction Management Office (TMO) and operations partners on flow trade transactions
• Support the growth of ING's wallet share in auxiliary businesses such as Financial Markets, Transaction Services, Capital Markets and Advisory, and trade digitalisation
• Implement ING's business strategies and policies for TCF and Asia Pacific while adhering to prudent risk management and regulatory and legal requirements

Required profile

• 3-5 years of prior experience in financial services, preferably in the commodity sector, trade finance or related fields
• Commercial mindset, able to build trusted partnerships internally and externally
• Strong ownership, accountability and execution; collaborative team player with a global mindset and high integrity
