Attorney Talent Development Manager

About the role

Join MoFo’s Attorney Talent team as an Attorney Talent Development Manager. You will lead onboarding, integration, and career‑development initiatives for new and existing legal professionals, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to succeed.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver onboarding programs for legal professionals in partnership with Talent, Recruiting, HR, and office leadership.
• Conduct onboarding sessions that highlight firm policies, resources, and career‑development pathways.
• Maintain ongoing touch points with new attorneys, including one‑on‑one check‑ins and regular office hours.
• Coordinate probationary review processes, ensuring timely preparation, delivery, and follow‑up.
• Partner with the We@MoFo group to customize and monitor mentoring programs, recommend mentor‑mentee matches, and assess program effectiveness.
• Promote firm resources and career‑development opportunities to summer students, interns, trainee solicitors, partners, and other legal professionals.
• Travel to satellite offices as needed to meet with legal staff and leadership.
• Support internal programs that enhance career development, engagement, and transparency of performance expectations.
• Provide guidance on attorney licensing processes and compliance issues specific to regional offices.
• Communicate and reinforce firm policies related to attorney career development.

Required profile

• Experience in talent development, onboarding, or HR functions within a professional services or legal environment.
• Strong ability to build relationships and foster community among legal professionals.
• Excellent communication skills for delivering training sessions and providing guidance.
• Knowledge of attorney licensing and compliance processes is a plus.
