Back-end Java Developer (Spring Boot, Microservices)

About the role

We are looking for a Back‑end Java Developer to design, build and maintain Spring Boot micro‑services that power critical business systems. You will work in an Agile team, delivering clean APIs, ensuring reliability and supporting production stability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance back‑end micro‑services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs according to specifications.
• Implement persistence and business logic with Hibernate, Spring Data JPA or similar ORM tools.
• Write clean, testable code and maintain strong automated test coverage.
• Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve quality.
• Support CI/CD pipelines for building and deploying applications.
• Troubleshoot production issues using logs, metrics and structured problem‑solving.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies such as refinement, planning, reviews and retrospectives.

Required profile

• Proven Java development experience with a recent LTS version.
• Solid understanding of the Spring framework, especially Spring Boot.
• Experience with micro‑services architecture, REST API design and service‑to‑service integration.
• Strong object‑oriented design skills and familiarity with design patterns.
• Hands‑on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB) and SQL.
• Knowledge of ORM frameworks such as Hibernate.
• Testing experience using JUnit, Mockito or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Git workflows, Maven or Gradle and basic CI/CD concepts.
