Barista / Senior Barista

About the role

As a member of BYD BY 1826’s food and beverage team, you will deliver outstanding service to guests across Singapore, creating memorable coffee and beverage experiences. You will work in a casual‑premium dining environment, handling orders, preparing drinks and supporting a collaborative team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service throughout the guest’s dining journey, ensuring they feel welcome and well attended.
• Prepare a variety of coffee‑based beverages, teas and other drinks with precision and consistency.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to take orders and process payments.
• Maintain drinkware, beverage equipment and roasting tools, performing routine cleaning and troubleshooting.
• Educate customers on coffee origins, flavor profiles and brewing methods, and recommend suitable beverages.
• Conduct roasting and cupping sessions to develop and assess coffee bean quality.
• Perform any ad‑hoc duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Charismatic, service‑driven individual with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Minimum of 2 years barista experience in a casual‑premium dining setting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Interest or knowledge of the automotive industry and electric vehicles is an advantage.
