Betting Control Centre Operator

About the role

Singapore Pools, a not-for-profit organisation established in 1968 to provide safe and trusted betting against illegal gambling, is hiring a BCC Operator. Reporting to the Assistant Manager, the operator updates raceday information accurately and carries out the necessary operational actions in line with the standard operating procedures of the Betting Control Centre.

Key responsibilities

• Stop sales on time and watch for any abnormalities during races, then inform the BCC Executive.
• Enter provisional results into the betting system after verification by the BCC Executive.
• Update raceday information accurately and on time in the Web Portal.
• Coordinate with the Data Centre on standby to stop sales when a race starts.
• Publish results on the corporate website once the BCC Executive releases them.
• Process withdrawals after being informed and verified by the BCC Executive.
• Email meeting results to the publishers after each meeting concludes.
• Keep the department's shared storage tidy with racing information.

Required profile

• Minimum GCE O-level with a credit in English Language.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Willingness to work shift hours, including weekends, public holidays and night shifts.

Required skills

• Confident with computer systems such as MS Word and Excel.
