Boutique Visual Merchandiser

About the role

Chanel is looking for a Boutique Visual Merchandiser to act as a guardian of the CHANEL image across the country, keeping the fashion and image message consistent through window displays and merchandise presentation. The role reports to the Senior Visual Merchandiser Manager and Head of Boutique and works closely with retail operations, communication and marketing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Implement visual merchandising policies and maintain visual merchandising standards to boutique needs and global guidelines
• Change mannequins, replenish items from the selling floor and make display substitutions when products are needed by clients
• Be the store's point of contact for visual merchandising when the VM lead is busy, during corporate holidays and on weekends
• Support the operations team with product prep for floor moves and collection launches, including P Touching display items
• Update digital photo files for VM maintenance and keep window item records current (SKU, price, size)
• Assist with events, sales, seasonal installs, corporate events and other business-driving initiatives in the boutique
• Communicate with the selling team and management, and work independently with minimal supervision
• Be present in the store for opening and closing, receiving inventory and shipping product to support sales

Required profile

• Minimum 3-5 years of in-store visual merchandising experience
• Merchandising experience in retail; luxury retail is a plus but not required
• Strong knowledge of fashion, style and current visual merchandising trends
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Ability to lift equipment such as mannequins
• Flexible schedule, able to work late nights, weekends and some holidays depending on fashion launches
