Build Manufacturing Engineer (4pm to 1.30am)

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, is hiring a Build Manufacturing Engineer in Singapore. The engineer develops and maintains methods, operating sequences and processes for fabricating parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies, working closely with other engineering functions to coordinate product releases and new products. The shift runs from 4pm to 1.30am.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily manufacturing build operations and drive resolution of production issues.
• Develop, implement and maintain manufacturing methods, SAP routings, work instructions and operating procedures.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for assembly and quality issues.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), engineering changes (ECO) and product/design transfer activities.
• Apply DFx and Lean Manufacturing principles to improve quality, productivity and manufacturability.
• Design, develop and validate manufacturing jigs, fixtures, tooling and assembly aids.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, Supply Chain and Design Engineering teams to ensure production readiness.
• Analyze manufacturing data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Review 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD models, and give design-for-manufacturability feedback to engineering teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or a related engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, production or assembly engineering.
• Experience in semiconductor equipment manufacturing is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency reading 2D drawings, GD&T, BOMs and 3D CAD models.
• Hands-on CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
