Business Development Manager - Advertising Sales

About the role

A media company is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager for advertising sales to lead its advertising revenue growth. The role suits a strategic thinker who builds and maintains high-value client relationships, drives end-to-end sales and identifies new business opportunities, and can represent the brand in the marketplace.

Key responsibilities

• Drive individual sales and revenue targets, including minimum sales engagements (calls and meetings)
• Build and maintain client relationships, including assigned key accounts, and resolve day-to-day issues
• Pursue new business and build a network of client contacts across assigned sales verticals and agencies
• Run the full sales cycle, from prospecting and negotiation to closing and renewals
• Manage sales processes and workflows with internal stakeholders and ensure timely sales reporting
• Support the line manager and senior team with reporting, administrative sales duties and ad-hoc requests
• Stay up to date on industry trends, competitors and market conditions
• Collaborate on pitches, develop presentation credentials with case studies and advocate paid media solutions
• Take part in trade engagements such as media workshops, events and networking sessions, and assist in onboarding new team members

Required profile

• At least 5 years of sales or business development experience in a similar industry
• Excellent understanding of new media, digital publishing, content and social media
• Experience with Singapore Government advertisers and agencies is highly preferred
• Proven track record in sales and business development
