Business Development Representative, Public Sector (Singapore Market)

About the role

Salesforce is hiring a Business Development Representative (BDR) for its public sector sales team. The BDR acts as the first point of contact for prospective clients, generating new business by sourcing, developing and qualifying opportunities through targeted outreach, in partnership with the Sales and Marketing team. Success is measured by a monthly quota of qualified sourced opportunities and team-closed business.

Key responsibilities

• Qualify leads, contacts and accounts to understand the use case and opportunity.
• Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up.
• Work closely with Public Sector Account Executives to move qualified pipeline through the sales cycle.
• Achieve the monthly quota related to opportunities generated.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of inside sales experience in the IT industry (new business development, cold calling, planning/strategy).
• Excellent track record selling to Singapore clients.
• Experience dealing with public sector clients.
• Prior experience working in or with the Indonesia region is highly desired.

The role is supported by training and knowledge from leaders, peers and extended teams. Salesforce states it uses AI tools to help recruiters assess resumes, and that hiring decisions are made by humans.
