Business Risk Management Specialist

About the role

LGT, the largest private banking and asset management group owned by an entrepreneurial family and the family office of the Princely House of Liechtenstein, is hiring a Business Risk Management Specialist in Singapore. The role acts as the first line of defense to identify and monitor suitability and selling process issues in the Front Office, strengthen management controls and train the Front Office.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and monitor potential issues in the suitability and selling process within the Front Office
• Strengthen and implement management controls for suitability and selling
• Train and guide the Front Office on suitability and selling processes
• Monitor new regulator rules and turn regulatory expectations into business controls
• Conduct trade monitoring and thematic reviews of Front Office activity, advise on rectifications and report to management
• Take part in system and management projects improving the control landscape
• Analyse employee emails to detect fraud, data leakage and policy violations, investigate suspicious communications and maintain surveillance procedures
• Act as business liaison with Compliance, auditors and other departments

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance or cyber security
• 7 to 12 years of experience in private banking business risk, internal controls or compliance
• Hands-on knowledge of suitability and selling regulations and standards such as GPDPR and PDPA
• Experience with regulatory audits and remediation
• Strong understanding of email protocols, encryption and data security; familiarity with email surveillance tools
• Good interpersonal skills with senior bankers and management, proactive problem solver
