About the role

We are partnering with a leading quantitative trading firm to hire a C++ Software Engineer who will build high‑performance applications used across the trading environment. The role involves close collaboration with traders and engineers to develop reliable, low‑latency systems that directly support front‑office trading activity.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement high‑performance C++ applications for trading operations.
• Work closely with traders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Maintain and optimise low‑latency, real‑time systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on system architecture and performance tuning.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong modern C++ development skills.
• Experience building trading applications or other high‑performance, real‑time systems.
• Familiarity with Python for scripting, tooling, and automation.
• Solid understanding of multithreading, data structures, algorithms, and system performance.
• Experience working with exchanges or electronic trading systems is a plus.
