Category Manager – Indirect Category (Malaysia & Singapore)

About the role

Heineken is looking for a Category Manager to lead the Indirect Category across Malaysia and Singapore. You will shape category strategy, drive sourcing excellence and create value for the business while supporting the company’s EverGreen growth agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for all indirect spend in the Malaysia‑Singapore cluster.
• Identify and deliver procurement value through cost savings, cost avoidance, cash‑flow improvement and supplier‑led innovation.
• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing activities, including market assessments, tenders, negotiations and contract execution.
• Manage strategic contracts and monitor supplier performance to ensure quality, service and commercial commitments.
• Maintain accurate procurement data in the company’s systems and tools.
• Build and sustain strategic relationships with key suppliers, conducting performance reviews and driving improvement plans.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, challenge specifications and provide commercial guidance.
• Monitor market developments, supplier risks and business‑continuity issues, supporting risk‑mitigation and compliance activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in category management or strategic sourcing, preferably in indirect spend.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work across multiple geographies and align regional initiatives.
• Good understanding of procurement policies, governance and compliance requirements.
