Client Services Executive (Rakuten Insight)

About the role

Rakuten Insight, part of Rakuten Asia (the Asia regional headquarters based in Singapore's Central Business District), is hiring a Client Services Executive. You will be responsible for new client development and revenue targets in Singapore, working under the Country Director Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow key accounts and contribute to sales expansion in Singapore
• Generate leads, handle daily sales inquiries and prepare quotations and proposals
• Follow up on potential bids and sales issues from commissioned projects
• Present Rakuten Insight's services and products professionally to clients
• Communicate with project teams across countries and work with project managers to ensure timely, high-quality delivery
• Develop sales analysis and a strategic business development plan, identify new opportunities and approach new clients
• Supervise junior staff in your direct report line and develop local vendor partnerships

Required profile

• 2-3 years of experience in market research or a related field
• Proven experience managing sales or revenue targets independently
• Strong client relationship management skills
• Ability to guide clients moving from traditional research to online methodologies
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese

Required skills

• Proposal writing, questionnaire design, fieldwork coordination and data processing
• Understanding of sales and marketing principles
• Basic technical understanding of web, database, SaaS or statistical applications, and Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with tender systems
