Cloud API Engineer

About the role

Bitdeer is looking for a Cloud API Engineer to shape the control‑plane that powers its global GPU fleet. You will work on a multi‑region platform that turns thousands of GPUs into a self‑service AI‑cloud product, building the core services that manage tenants, quotas, billing and access.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement control‑plane services such as tenant management, quota enforcement, metering, billing, ticketing, RBAC and the customer portal/API.
• Architect the split between global and regional control‑plane components and ensure cross‑region consistency.
• Create self‑service onboarding and automation workflows to eliminate manual delivery steps.
• Guarantee billing and metering accuracy and auditability.
• Develop operational tooling for detection, isolation and recovery to improve platform stability.
• Collaborate with the Compute team to build region‑aware scheduling and placement logic.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience building backend services, control planes or web platforms.
• Strong engineering background in Go, Java or Python and solid API design skills.
• Experience with distributed systems and multi‑tenant SaaS/cloud platforms; billing or quota systems are a plus.
• Familiarity with frontend/console frameworks (React or Vue) is beneficial for full‑stack contributions.
• Knowledge of RBAC, OAuth/OIDC and audit mechanisms.
• Multi‑region or distributed‑consistency experience is an advantage.
