Coastal Engineering Engineer (LRD)

About the role

The Land Reclamation Division (LRD) is seeking engineers with a passion for shaping the future of coastlines. You will plan and manage coastal engineering projects, including the related geotechnical and infrastructure works.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage coastal engineering projects, including geotechnical and infrastructure works
• Conduct engineering feasibility studies and environmental studies
• Analyse civil engineering problems and propose cost-effective solutions, including preparing cost estimates and schedules
• Coordinate and supervise the tendering process
• Review engineering designs and supervise and manage consultancy and construction works
• Manage projects to meet budgets and timelines

Required profile

• Relevant background in Civil or Environmental Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore
• Strong communication skills and ability to consult with government agencies and stakeholders
• Team player with strong analytical ability, growth mindset and creative thinking
• Prior experience in coastal, land reclamation, infrastructure, geotechnical, traffic or hydraulic projects is an asset

Required skills

• Knowledge of relevant engineering design and analysis software is an asset
