Contracts Manager - Construction Projects

About the role

The Contracts Manager procures and manages construction and construction-related projects for HDB's new developments, upgrades, infrastructure and related projects. The role is advertised as a 1+1 year contract.

Key responsibilities

• Procure the services of consultants and contractors for HDB projects and manage the contracts, including processing payment claims and administering certificates, warranties and agreements.
• Monitor project expenditure and prepare cash flow projections for budget control.
• Oversee private Quantity Surveying (QS) consultants across design, tender, construction and post-construction stages, including setting and managing the project cost budget, calling and evaluating tenders and awarding them on time.
• Obtain approval for variation works, monitor and check the valuation of variations and review final accounts prepared by QS consultants.
• Provide procurement and contractual advice and cost estimates for feasibility studies.
• May also cover the full procurement cycle for ICT projects, from pre-tender planning and tendering through to post-contract administration.

Required profile

• Background in Building, Quantity Surveying, Project and Facilities Management or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience preferred.
• Strong communication and writing skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
