Commercial Lawyer - Digital Infrastructure

About the role

A prominent digital infrastructure platform with a growing presence across Asia Pacific is looking for a Commercial Lawyer in Singapore. The organisation operates a large portfolio of data centre assets and supports the digital transformation of hyperscalers, multinational enterprises and technology businesses. The role involves driving complex commercial contracts with major clients and has a high impact for regional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including customer contracts and service agreements.
• Provide legal support for commercial transactions and strategic business initiatives across the region.
• Partner with commercial, operations, finance and technical stakeholders to manage contractual and business risks.
• Advise on compliance matters relating to data protection, cybersecurity and other applicable regulations.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the digital infrastructure and technology sectors.
• Manage external legal counsel and support the delivery of legal projects where required.
• Help develop contract templates, policies and best-practice processes to improve operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer admitted in a recognised common law jurisdiction.
• At least 8 years of post-qualification experience with a strong focus on commercial contracting.
• Proven experience drafting, negotiating and managing complex commercial agreements.
• Prior in-house experience in technology, cloud services, digital infrastructure or related sectors is advantageous; experience with large enterprise or strategic customer contracts is highly desirable.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
