Commercial Manager – MRT Project (A1 Main Construction)

About the role

The Commercial Manager will lead the commercial and financial management of a major MRT civil‑infrastructure project for A1 Main Construction. You will oversee pre‑ and post‑contract activities, ensuring margin optimisation and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial and financial aspects of the project, from tender preparation to final account settlement.
• Identify, notify and prepare variations, claims, extensions of time and related loss & expense submissions.
• Draft and manage contractual correspondence, maintain contract records, and ensure proper dissemination of executed contracts.
• Review project communications, flag contractual or commercial risks, and advise on compliance and obligations.
• Support ISO implementation, compliance audits, and preparation of final accounts and variation claims.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant commercial management experience in construction.
• Experience with MRT or large‑scale civil infrastructure projects is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of contract administration and commercial risk management.
• Proficiency in preparing tender submissions, variation claims and final accounts.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and audit processes.
