Contract Manager – Construction & M&E

About the role

The Contract Manager will lead contract negotiations and administration for construction and mechanical & electrical (M&E) projects. This role works closely with directors, project teams and quantity surveyors to ensure contractual, commercial and legal risks are managed effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Lead contract negotiations, reviewing and assessing contractual terms and proposals.
• Draft, review and administer contracts and agreements with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Develop and implement contract management and commercial negotiation strategies for tenders and ongoing projects.
• Prepare, monitor and manage project budgets, cash‑flow forecasts and cost projections.
• Collaborate with directors, project teams and quantity surveyors on technical, contractual and commercial matters.
• Administer contracts and support proposal preparation in line with company policies.
• Identify potential risks, liabilities and commercial opportunities in contract terms.
• Provide contractual support during tender exercises, including documentation and schedules.
• Manage post‑tender clarifications, queries, claims, disputes and conflict resolution.
• Perform other ad‑hoc duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• 8 to 10 years of experience in construction contract management.
• Strong knowledge of public and private sector contract conditions and Singapore construction law.
• Excellent written, communication and negotiation skills.
