Corporate Tax Manager / Senior Manager

About the role

As a senior professional in the Corporate Tax Division, you will apply your tax expertise to ensure accurate assessment of corporate returns and promote voluntary compliance across industry groups. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to interpret tax legislation and improve compliance programs.

Key responsibilities

• Review and finalize manual and backend corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while applying relevant tax guidelines and legislation.
• Contact external parties to clarify return information or gather additional data when needed.
• Design and deliver targeted education programmes for selected industry groups to encourage voluntary compliance.
• Identify and manage risk areas within industry sectors, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Select cases for compliance programmes and conduct case reviews to enhance overall compliance rates.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy, Business Administration or Economics.
• Minimum 5 years of experience handling corporate tax work.
• Practical experience in income tax or corporate tax assessment and accounting.
• Strong knowledge of corporate income tax laws, accounting principles, company law and audit processes.
• Basic understanding of GST is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
