Country Manager - Freight Forwarding & Logistics

About the role

Manpower is recruiting a Country Manager for a freight forwarding and logistics business based in Singapore. The role leads nationwide operations and works closely with commercial teams and senior management to grow the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage nationwide operations to achieve service, operational and revenue targets.
• Oversee, coach and develop operational teams while fostering a high-performance culture.
• Manage operational budgets and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, priorities and performance objectives, and drive efficiency and process improvements.
• Monitor operational KPIs, financial targets and budget goals, and lead short- and long-term planning including contingency plans.
• Work with commercial teams to identify new business opportunities and improve service offerings.
• Support the launch of new branches or stations and related public relations activities.
• Partner with senior management on strategic planning and country-level initiatives.
• Set up controls, systems and processes for sustainable growth, and conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance and performance standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• At least 7 years of experience in freight forwarding, international transportation, airfreight, logistics or a related industry, including leadership experience.
• Proven track record in operations management and business growth.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills.
