Cyber Security Engineer - Banking (Contract)

About the role

A bank in Singapore is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer on a contract basis, recruited through Manpower. The role advises development and project teams on the security aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and evaluates new technologies and processes to improve application security outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Advise development and project teams on application security.
• Evaluate new technologies and processes to improve application security outcomes.
• Guide application teams on secure SDLC activities and help improve existing tools and processes, such as SAST, DAST, SCA, security requirements, secure code review and developer application security training.
• Contribute to improvements of secure SDLC practices, including security requirements, secure design and secure code review.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT or a related discipline.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with DevSecOps processes and tooling, such as SAST, DAST, SCA and IAST.
• Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and OWASP ASVS/MASVS.
• Penetration testing experience and experience in code reviews or application security assessments are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Java and Python.
• Modern software development practices (Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps).
