Cyber Security Intern

About the role

BH Global Corporation Ltd is recruiting a Cyber Security Intern. The intern works closely with the cybersecurity team and may be exposed to different areas depending on ongoing projects and business needs. The internship aims to give students hands-on experience with cyber solutions, security product use cases and project management, under the mentorship of experienced in-house professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with testing of systems, products or cybersecurity solutions in a controlled laboratory environment.
• Help verify system functions, configurations, connectivity, access controls, logging and other security features.
• Support projects such as security tool implementation, risk assessments, audits and technical assessments.
• Research cybersecurity technologies, security issues, industry trends, standards and technical topics.
• Review technical manuals, datasheets and system information to support projects.
• Help prepare and update project documentation, technical reports, asset information, security controls, policies and procedures.
• Assist in developing simple scripts, tools, web applications or internal utilities where applicable.
• Support troubleshooting, investigation and general technical activities under team guidance.
• Take part in cybersecurity projects, demonstrations, competitions and exhibitions when required.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Basic understanding of networking, network security and cybersecurity concepts.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and explore new technologies and cybersecurity topics.

Required skills

• Advantageous: knowledge of Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Dart or Flutter.
• Advantageous: participation in CTF competitions, hackathons, technical projects or cybersecurity activities.
