Deputy Head of Boutique

About the role

The Deputy Head of Boutique is a pivotal leader within the Fashion division and a Brand Advocate for CHANEL. As a strategic deputy business partner, the role leads the boutique team and drives day-to-day operations in a mega-sized boutique, supporting the Head of Boutique's strategy and priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Uphold CHANEL's image through visual merchandising, boutique upkeep and team grooming, and build relationships with landlords, media and local authorities
• Translate the Head of Boutique's vision into actionable behaviours and monitor the team so that "One Boutique One Story" is executed
• Motivate and coach the team, with regular feedback and talent development
• Grow the VIP and Elite client base and welcome tourists, championing service excellence at every touchpoint
• Act as a category leader: optimise product assortment, stock flow and inventory accuracy, and ensure efficient stockroom-to-shopfloor processes
• Drive sales targets through data-driven actions, client outreach and service incentives, and monitor performance with management
• Ensure smooth daily operations, accurate reporting and compliance with procedures, adapting staffing to traffic patterns

Required profile

• University degree in any discipline
• 8 years of experience leading large teams in dynamic environments
• Strong exposure to fashion and luxury retail and appreciation for brand heritage and client experience
• Proven leadership, with a track record of coaching and developing high-performing teams
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
