Deputy/Assistant Director, Talent Development & Engagement (Contract)

About the role

The Talent Development & Engagement (TDE) team builds strategies and policies to create a strong, future-ready Singaporean workforce for the financial sector. It develops a pipeline of job-ready graduates and specialist talent, equips the existing workforce to meet changing job and skill needs, and creates opportunities for Singaporeans to gain international exposure and progress into leadership roles in global financial institutions. The role is a 4-year contract.

Key responsibilities

• Develop manpower strategies and policies for the financial sector, using workforce data, research and engagement with industry and other stakeholders to identify emerging needs, trends and priorities.
• Develop programmes and initiatives that turn these strategies into action, which may include designing and implementing funding schemes and other sector-wide interventions, and contributing to economy-wide workforce initiatives.
• Engage financial institutions and key partners, working closely with the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF), MAS' strategic partner on jobs and skills development, on industry sense-making, solution development and driving industry participation.
• Shape communications and stakeholder engagement on local financial sector workforce issues, including outreach to amplify MAS' manpower messages and support the rollout of new programmes.

Required profile

• At least 3 to 4 years of working experience preferred.
• Singapore citizenship required.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholder needs in a fast-paced environment and to respond agilely to change.
• Shortlisting may involve a medical declaration and/or further assessment.
