About the role

Vitol, a global leader in energy and commodities trading, is hiring for a contract role in Derivatives Operations in Singapore. The position covers post-trade checks, trade close-outs and record keeping, and supports ad hoc projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform post-trade checks and reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and follow up with relevant teams to resolve them.
  • Perform weekly trade close-outs.
  • Follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain trade records and file supporting documentation.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as required.

Required profile

  • Previous experience in trade support, reconciliation or back-office operations is an advantage.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and follow-up skills to work with internal teams and external parties.
  • A team player willing to support colleagues when needed.

Required skills

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to learn new systems.
