Developer Experience Engineer - Managed K8s

About the role

Bitdeer, a technology company for Bitcoin mining and AI cloud, is looking for a Developer Experience Engineer to build and own the Terraform provider, CLI and SDKs that let customers provision and manage GPU clusters and Kubernetes workloads as code. Currently the control-plane team carries out infrastructure-as-code support informally; this role turns it into a first-class, versioned product with its own release cadence, compatibility guarantees and quality bar.

Key responsibilities

• Terraform provider: design and implement the provider for GPU cluster, node pool, network and storage resources, own state schema evolution, drift detection and safe resource import, and maintain the acceptance test suite.
• CLI: build the command-line tool for authentication, cluster provisioning and scripting, with consistent resource models and safe credential handling.
• SDKs: set up generated clients plus a hand-written idiomatic layer, own the generation pipeline and version each release against the same compatibility contract.
• Work with the control-plane team while the API is unstable, flagging designs that break the provider or SDK, and define the criteria for freezing the API.
• Run semantic versioning and deprecation policies, own the release pipeline into the Terraform Registry and other package registries, and treat breaking changes without a migration path as release blockers.
• Build documentation, examples and quickstarts as code, and gather adoption and failure telemetry.

Required profile

• 5+ years of backend or platform engineering, including building or maintaining a Terraform provider or comparable IaC plugin against a real cloud or Kubernetes control plane.
• Experience owning a developer-facing surface end to end, from design through release and support.
• Track record of building CLIs or SDKs as products, and negotiating API contracts with an upstream team.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud primitives (clusters, node pools, networking, storage); GPU cloud or ML infrastructure familiarity is a plus.

Required skills

• Solid Go and the Terraform Plugin Framework/SDK, including resource schema, state management, drift detection and acceptance testing.
• Generating or maintaining client SDKs from OpenAPI, protobuf or similar definitions.
• Versioning, deprecation and release engineering.
