Developer Support Engineer (Remote, Singapore)

About the role

Braintrust is an agent observability platform used by companies such as Notion, Stripe, Box, OpenAI and Cloudflare to trace agents, find issues in their observability data and run evals. It is looking for mid-level and senior Developer Support Engineers to help developers overcome technical blockers. The role is remote and based in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve API and SDK usage issues within customers' codebases (Python or TypeScript)
• Reproduce customer-reported bugs, identify likely causes and work with Engineering to fix them
• Own support communications with developers, mainly via Slack and email
• Write and maintain knowledge base documentation
• Identify ways to improve the developer experience, including tools, documentation and support workflows
• Write scripts, fix bugs and contribute to internal support tooling
• Capture and relay customer feedback to Product and Engineering
• Take part in on-call rotations and cover critical issues or local holidays
• Mentor peers and guide support processes and escalations

Required profile

• Experience supporting developer-facing products as a software engineer, customer engineer, developer success engineer or technical account manager
• Ability to learn APIs, SDKs and developer tools quickly
• Personal ownership of technical problems until customers are unblocked
• Bonus points for experience with developer tools, ML infrastructure or observability platforms, familiarity with OpenAI, Anthropic or similar LLM APIs, and experience submitting PRs to production code

Required skills

• Writing, debugging and reasoning in Python and/or TypeScript
• Comfortable working with datasets, evaluation metrics or prompt engineering (bonus)
• Cloud certifications or experience with containerized environments such as Terraform and Kubernetes (bonus)
