Device Design Engineer (RRAM)

About the role

GlobalFoundries, a full-service semiconductor foundry, is looking for a Device Design Engineer focused on advanced specialty technologies (RRAM). The role covers device design and characterization, integration with existing devices, test structures and device modelling.

Key responsibilities

• Design and characterize devices to meet performance and reliability requirements.
• Integrate and optimize new devices with minimal impact on other devices.
• Design new test structures and implement test methodologies.
• Work with modeling engineers to produce good device models.
• Work with TCAD engineers to predict device split results.
• Analyze E-Test data and characterization results in detail.
• Mentor and train engineers.

Required profile

• Masters degree with at least 5 years of relevant device experience, or PhD with at least 3 years.
• Detailed electrical characterization of devices.
• Process integration experience preferred.
• Ability to work well in global cross-functional teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in layout and design rules.
• Preferred: excellent understanding of device and process physics, strong analytical and optimization skills, experience working with foundries, and good communication skills.
