DevOps Engineer / Cloud Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer who will design, implement and maintain secure, scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure supporting business‑critical applications and digital transformation initiatives. The role works closely with software engineers, DevOps teams, security specialists and business stakeholders to deliver reliable cloud solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design cloud architectures and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or ARM Templates.
• Manage virtual networks, storage, compute resources, identity and access management, backup strategies and disaster recovery solutions.
• Monitor cloud environments, troubleshoot infrastructure issues and optimise system performance.
• Support application deployment across multiple environments and automate provisioning through CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps and security teams to improve reliability and operational processes.
• Implement and maintain cloud security controls, monitor resource utilisation and control cloud costs.
• Maintain technical documentation, support incident response and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Participate in architecture reviews, evaluate emerging cloud technologies and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, infrastructure architecture, networking and virtualization technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM Templates) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools and DevOps best practices.
• Solid knowledge of Linux and Windows server administration, networking protocols, DNS, VPN, firewalls and load balancing.
• Understanding of cloud security principles, IAM, encryption, compliance and governance.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Google Cloud Operations Suite, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Ability to script or program in languages such as Python, Bash or PowerShell.
